6 New One Bedroom Units for the Senior Members of the Trangie LALC

Uncle Bill Phillips and Auntie Marg Phillips turned the soil on the development site at 17-19 Mullah Street, Trangie for the building of 6 new units for our senior members. Richard Stubbs from Hibbards and Stephen James from the Aboriginal Housing Office were in attendance for the event that took place on 18th February 2022.

On the 14th July 2023 the Trangie Local Aboriginal Land Council had the pleasure of opening the 6 new one bedroom units that were built under the Aboriginal Community Housing Investment Fund program through the Aboriginal Housing Office. The units were built by Hibbard’s and have been built to allow our senior members the ability to have room for mobility items such as walkers. Each unit has been appointed with high grade finishes and include air conditioning, solar energy, fans, garage with automatic roller door and beautiful landscaping.

New tenant, Jacqueline Heterick met Dugald Saunders when he visited the new complex in August 2023.
